Biography

2023 (LCU)
Ellis made 13 appearances out of the bullpen for the Chaps in the 2023 season, recording a 12.33 ERA in 15.1 innings of work. He struck out 10 batters and walked seven, and of his 29 runs allowed, 23 were earned. 

2022 (LCU)
Ellis made ten appearances out of the pen for the Chaps this season, recording a 7.30 ERA in 12.1 innings of work. He struck out five batters and walked six, and of his 17 runs allowed, just 10 were earned. Ellis earned his lone win of the season on Mar. 25 against St. Edward's, giving up three runs, only two of which were earned, off two hits in a 12-10 victory.

2021 (LCU)
Ellis did not make his season (and career) debut until March 21 against Texas A&M-Kingsville, but he was used more and more as the season went on. He appeared 11 times overall, all out of the bullpen, and posted a 5.95 ERA in 19.2 innings of work. The Bushland native allowed 13 earned runs on 21 hits but walked only six while striking out 15 batters and limiting opponents to a .273 average. 

2020 (LCU)
Ellis did not make an apperance during the 2020 season.

2019 (LCU)
Ellis redshirted in his first season at LCU.

Bushland High School
Ellis was named to the District 1-4A Academic First Team for three straight years (2016-2018). He was also recognized as an All-District First Team pitcher in 2017 and 2018 as well as an All-District Second Team First Baseman in 2016.
