2021 (LCU)
Hutson pitched mainly out of the bullpen for the Chaps during the 2021 season, tying for the team lead with 18 appearances, but he made three starts as well, including in the LSC Championship game. He was on the mound for a total of 39.2 innings, allowing 32 runs on 41 hits while walking 38 batters and striking out 39. Oponents hit just .261 against him, which was the third-lowest opponent batting average on the team. 

2020 (Midland College)
Before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hutson was leading his team in innings pitched with 25.0, allowing 19 runs on 33 hits with 10 walks and 18 strikeouts in that time. He was used exclusively as a starter during his sophomore year and hurled three complete games while going 4-1 overall. He averaged 6.48 strikeouts per nine innings as well. 

2019 (Midland College)
In his freshman season, Hutson was on the mound for 13.0 innings across nine appearances. He posted an earned run average of 5.54 in that time, allowing eight earned runs on nine hits and 16 walks while striking out nine batters. His season high in innings pitched came on 2/8 against McLennan CC, when he gave up two runs on two hits with two strikeouts in 4.0 innings of work.

Playing for the Permian Panthers, Hutson was an All-District Second Team selection on the mound in his junior season.
