2024 (LCU)
LCU's crafty lefty had an impressive junior season, earning Honorable Mention All-American honors from the NCBWA, All-Region First Team honors from the same organization, All-Region Second Team honors from the D2CCA and ABCA and All-Conference First Team honors. He pitched out of the bullpen early before becoming a mainstay in the rotation and went 12-1 on the mound with a 6.10 ERA in 82.2 innings of work. His 81 strikeouts were the second-most in the Lone Star Conference and opponents hit just .286 against him. His season-high in strikeouts was eight and he hit that mark twice - 3/16 vs. Regis and 4/5 vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville. He pitched a season-high 7.0 innings of work on 5/18 against UT Permian Basin in the NCAA Tournament. 

2023 (LCU)
Markwardt made 16 appearances including 14 starts on the mound in his first season as a Chap. He posted a 4.60 ERA in 88 total innings of work, allowing 95 hits, 53 runs, 45 of which were earned, and walked 36. Markwardt posted a 6-6 record and struck out 65 batters. 

2022 (Hill College)
Markwardt saw more playing time his second season at Hill, going 1-2 and pitching 34.0 innings in 21 appearances with an 11.65 ERA. The Itasca native struck out 35 batters and walked just 19. He earned his first college victory on Apr. 2, against Vernon College, going 3.0 innings, giving up two runs off two hits and striking out seven

2021 (Hill College)
In his first season at Hill College, Markwardt made eight appearances and went 6.2 innings, going 0-1 with a 12.15 ERA. Markwardt struck out seven batters
