Andrus saw action in 20 of Lubbock Christian's 24 games before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, starting 13 times in the outfield. He had 12 hits in 49 at-bats, including four doubles, one triple and one home run for a .429 slugging percentage. He also drew 10 walks for a .373 on-base percentage. 

Amarillo High School
Contributing both offensively and on the mound, Andrus hit above .350 in all three seasons on the varsity Sandie squad. He was the 2-6A Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore and also earned a spot on the TSWA 6A All-State Second Team as a pitcher. As a junior, he was a TWSA All-State First Team and All-District First Team selection. He wrapped up his Amarillo High career with a selection to the TWSA All-State third team as an outfielder in 2018.
