Biography

2022 (LCU)
Acosta was recognized with Second Team All-Lone Star Conference honors this season, which places him as a two-time All-Conference selection. He also earned ABCA All-Region honor. LCU's leadoff batter and primary left fielder, Acosta ranked eighth in the conference in runs scored with 67. He hit a team-leading .398 (seventh in the LSC) with a .453 on-base percentage. Acosta ranked sixth nationally in triples (7, second in the LSC) and 14th nationally in runs per game (1.40, which is second in the LSC), and also ranked seventh in the LSC in total bases (125) and ninth in hits (team-leading 76) and slugging (.654).

2021 (LCU)
Acosta played all over the place for the Chaps, seeing action in 40 total games. He started the season as the team's second basemen, but he saw time at third base, left field and right field as well as designated hitter. He hit .368 for the year with 17 walks for a .418 on-base percentage. Of his 64 total hits, 23 went for extra bases, including 10 doubles, six triples and seven home runs. He led the team in multi-hit games with 22 and slugged .615 overall. 

2020 (Kansas City CC)
The Blue Devils only got in 20 games before the COVID-19 pandemic cut their season short, but Acosta played in all of them and hit a team-leading .371 with 26 hits in 70 at-bats. He drove in 25 runs and scored just as many himself while upping his on-base percentage to .464 and slugging .514. Over the summer he played for the Amarillo Sod Dogs of the Texas Collegiate League, hitting .353, which was the fourth-best batting average in the league. He drove in 25 runs in 27 games for Amarillo, which was the third-best mark in the league.

2019 (Kansas City CC)
In his first collegiate season, Acosta was a force at the plate, hitting .352 in 179 at-bats across 52 games played. The Puerto Rico native also had 15 walks for a .403 on-base percentage and hit for power with 12 doubles, five triples and two home runs for a .508 slugging percentage. He also drove in 36 runs and scored 45 times while also stealing 12 bases in 15 attempts.
