Biography
LCU:
2023-2024 - Caswell returned to action after missing all of the 2022-23 season and a majority of the 2021-22 season due to injury. He played in 31 games, including 30 starts for the Chaps. Caswell averaged 7.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while playing 25.5 minutes a night. He shot 43.2 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from behind the arc. Caswell was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team.Â
2022-2023 - Caswell redshirted in his fourth season at LCU.Â
2021-2022 -Â Caswell missed most of the 2021-22 season with an injury, playing in nine games for the Chaps. He started against DBU on Feb. 5, scoring 11 points in 29 minutes, shooting 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Picked up a season-high two assists against Texas A&M International on Feb. 8.
2020-2021 -Â Not much of a sophomore slump was to be had for Caswell, who played in all 21 games, including 19 starts. He was the second-best rebounder on the team with an average of 4.8 per game, while also scoring 7.5 points per game. Playing in his hometown on 1/30, he set a season-high with 17 points. Caswell was named to the LSC All-Academic Team after the season for his performance both on the court and in the classroom.
2019-2020 - Named the Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Year for the season, Caswell had a strong start to his collegiate career. He played in all 29 Lubbock Christian games, starting 28 of them and averaging more than 31 minutes per game on the floor. He scored 11.2 points per game, which was the third-most on the team, and was second on thee team in rebounding with 5.9 per game. Caswell was first on the team in three-point field goal percentage at 48.8 percent (63-129) and would have led the LSC if he met the minimum number of attempts. He reached double figures in 19 games, leading the Chaps in scoring four times. His season-high of 21 points came on 11/30 against Oklahoma Panhandle State.Â
Prior to LCU:
High School - Caswell received a number of accolades while playing at Rider High School in Wichita Falls. He was named the District 4-5A Most Valuable Player three seasons in a row and placed on the All-Region First Team each of those years as well. Caswell also earned one 5A First Team All-State Selection, was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All Star team for the 2018-19 season and was the Red River 22 Most Valuable Player. He averaged 19.8 points per game as a senior at Rider, and is the school's record-holder in points, assists, free throws made and three-pointers made.
