College-best 4:20.39 in the 1,500-meter outdoor event at 2017 Lone Star Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Freshman Season
Competed in six meets over the 2016 season with his best finish coming at the New Mexico Junior College Cross Country Open (15th place; 26:48.20)... Placed 117th at NCAA Div. II Regional Championships... Finished 34th (28:22.00) overall at 2015 Heartland Conference Championships.
High School
Lucas, the twin brother of Luis Macias, comes to LCU alongside Luis from Abernathy High School in Abernathy, Texas. He competed in track and cross country for the Antelopes.
