Biography

Prior to LCU

Vela transfers in from the Dallas County Community College system, where he played NJCAA Div. III (juco) soccer at Mountain View College last season.  As a freshman, the Irving, Texas native tallied a pair of goals and contributed eight assists for 12 points in 13 games played. He is a product of The Highlands High School where he posted remarkable numbers. Maxpreps reported he led the nation with 113 points as a senior in 2010-2011 off 41 goals and 31 assists. They had him ranked 10th in points per game (4.5).
