The 2014 season will mark Smith’s first season in coaching. He comes to LCU from Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., where he attended Marymount California University as a student-athlete. The Newcastle, England native completed a four-year career at Marymount with 36 goals and 36 assists for 108 points in 64 caps. As a senior last season, Smith produced 16 goals and 16 assists for 48 points in 16 caps leading to California Pacific Conference Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors. The three-time All-Conference selection also claimed NAIA Second Team All-American honors as a midfielder. He majored in Business Management and Global Studies.
