2024 (Lubbock Christian) 
Battling through injuries throughout the year, Chavez ended up playing in 44 games for the LSC Champion Chaps. He hit .305 in that time with seven doubles, two triples and three home runs while reaching base at a .383 clip. Chavez was 11-14 in stolen base attempts and scored 32 runs on the year. He had a season high four hits in LCU's 20-13 South Central Regional Clinching win against UT Permian Basin on May 19.

2023 (Midland J.C.)
Chavez followed up an impressive freshmen season with an even better one in 2023. In 53 games played, Chavez hit .331 with 10 doubles, two triples, and four home runs. He racked up 54 hits, 41 RBIs, and scored 42 runs on the season. Chavez recorded a .429 on-base percentage and slugged .491 in 163 at-bats. Chavez was also a menace on the base paths, swiping 12 bags as a sophomore. 

2022 (Midland J.C.)
Chavez appeared in 41 games in his first season in Midland. In 121 at-bats, Chavez hit .397 with six doubles, three triples, and two homers. He drove in 37 runs and scored 41 of his own. Chavez racked up 48 hits, had a .490 on-base percentage, and slugged .545 as a freshmen.
