Tryon ran twice during the season, posting a collegiate-best 6K time of 22:34.2 at the West Texas A&M Buffalo Stampede.

Competing almost exclusively in the 800m during indoor season, Tryon ran three times, posting a season-best time of 1:50.37 at the GVSU Big Meet. At the time, it was the sixth-fastest time in all of Division II and provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. However, that event and all of outdoor season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2018-19

Ran in three meets, posting his collegiate-best 8K time of 28:22.1 at the Heartland Conference Championships.

Continued to run the 800-meter at some of the best times in all of Division II. He best mark of the indoor season and his collegiate career came at the LSC Championships, where he posted a 1:50.27 in the finals of the event to place second. The altitude converted time of 1:49.94 was the seventh-fastest time in all of Division II in 2019 and qualified Tryon for the national meet. He placed 13th in the 800m at the National Championships with a time of 1:50.27. Tryon continued improving in the 800-meter during outdoor season, winning the event at the WT Classics and Multi with a time of 1:50.67 and placing third in it at the LSC Outdoor Championships. He qualified for nationals again and placed ninth at the championship meet with a time of 1:53.89.
2017-18

Ran in three meets during the season, posting his best 8K time at the Heartland Conference Championships, where he finished in 28:23.5.
T&F
Ran in several events during indoor season but mainly competed in the 800-meter. His best time of the season in that event came at the GVSU Big Meet where he placed 8th with a time of 1:52.27. At the LSC Indoor Championships he made the finals in the 800-meter and posted a time of 1:54.22 to place fourth.
2016-17
Helped the Chaparrals to a fifth place team finish at the 2016 Heartland Conference Cross Country Championships with a 28:36.5 performance... Ran as third leg in the Distance Medley Relay team that placed second at the 2017 Lone Star Conference Indoor Track Championships... Tabbed two first place finishes in the outdoor track season for the 800-meter event; One with a 1:58.91 pace at the War Hawk Classic in Abilene, Texas and the other with a 1:55.81 performance at the ACU Wildcat open also in Abilene, Texas... Took third place overall in the 800-meter event at the Lone Star Outdoor Track Championships with a college-best 1:52.67 finish.
