A Heartland Conference Second Team All Conference Defender, Barrera appeared and started in all 17 games of the season and was second on the squad in minutes played (1,404).
2012 - Freshman (LCU)
Barrera played in 18 games in her first season for the Lady Chaps. She finished the season with one goal and two assists. Her goal came while on the road.
High School / Rec/
A Lubbock native, the midfielder competed locally at Monterey High School. She received Second Team All-District 2-5A honors as a junior in 2011. She was part of their playoff run as a senior and they concluded their season in the Area round with a 17-8-2 record. Jessica played club soccer in Amarillo, competing for the Amarillo Lightning.
