Austin Weyant serves as the Deputy Athletic Director and Director of Compliance at Lubbock Christian University, bringing over a decade of experience in NCAA Division II athletics administration. Weyant joined LCU in July 2025 after holding compliance leadership roles at multiple institutions, including Lynn University and Texas A&M University-Commerce (now East Texas A&M).
Prior to his arrival in Lubbock, Weyant spent over two years as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. There, he oversaw all facets of NCAA rules education, eligibility certification, and institutional compliance, working closely with coaches and student-athletes to ensure adherence to NCAA and university policies.
Before his tenure at Lynn, Weyant climbed the administrative ranks at A&M-Commerce, eventually being promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Student Services in 2019. His foundational experience in collegiate athletics began at Shorter University (Rome, Ga.) as a graduate assistant in compliance and gameday operations.
A native of Greenwood, S.C. (prepped at Fellowship Christian in Roswell, Ga.), Weyant earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Kennesaw State University in 2014, followed by an MBA from Shorter University in 2016.
