Darion enters his first year as a Graduate Assistant for Athletic Performance at Lubbock Christian University. A former Texas Tech track athlete and graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, he brings experience in performance coaching, corporate wellness leadership, and athlete development to the Chaps’ Athletic Performance Department.
Before coming to LCU, he spent four years with EXOS in Midland, advancing into a Program Manager role. During that time, he hired and developed coaching staff, led strategic wellness and performance programs, collaborated with corporate partners, and managed facility operations aligned with long-term health and performance goals. He also earned his NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification during his tenure at EXOS. Additional coaching experience includes roles with D1 Training and TruFit, where he worked with athletes and clients across a range of competitive and developmental levels.
At LCU, Darion supports strength and conditioning initiatives for Golf, Tennis, and Track & Field while pursuing a Master of Science in Human Performance. His coaching philosophy emphasizes movement quality, individualized program design, and developing confident, resilient, and technically sound athletes who excel on and off the field.
A native of Midland, Texas, he has been married for three years and is the father of two boys.
