Trey Culver joined the Lubbock Christian University Track & Field coaching staff as the High Jump Coach, bringing a wealth of experience at the collegiate, professional and international levels.
A Lubbock native and graduate of Coronado High School, Culver enjoyed a decorated collegiate career at Texas Tech University. He was a two-time NCAA Indoor High Jump Champion (2016, 2017) and a three-time Big 12 Champion (2016 Outdoor, 2017 Outdoor, 2018 Indoor). Culver was also a seven-time USTFCCCA All-American, earning All-American honors in both indoor and outdoor competition throughout his career.
Among his other collegiate accomplishments, Culver was named the 2017 USTFCCCA Male Scholar Athlete of the Year and the 2018 CoSIDA Male Academic All-American of the Year, becoming the first Texas Tech student-athlete to earn the USTFCCCA Male Scholar Athlete of the Year honor. He also competed at three NCAA Outdoor Championships, earning a silver-medal finish in 2017 and a fourth-place finish in 2018.
Following his collegiate career, Culver competed professionally for Adidas for four yearsand has represented Team USA on multiple occasions in international competition.
As a coach, Culver is passionate about developing the next generation of high jumpers and helping student-athletes reach their full potential both on and off the track. Having grown up in Lubbock, he is especially excited about the opportunity to pour back into the community that helped shape him and to help build the next generation of elite jumpers at LCU.
Personal:Â Culver is married to his wife, Emily, and they have a son, Isaiah. He and his family are proud to call Lubbock home.
