Chaps Look For 10th Consecutive Conference Win

CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
•    The Lubbock Christian University Chaparrals head into Monday's contest with a 6-3-1 record overall and 4-0-0 mark in conference following a 5-3 win Saturday at home over Rogers State University
•      Lubbock Christian heads into Monday's tilt unbeat¬en in their last six games (5-0-1).
•      LCU, 5-3-1 in home games last season, is 2-1-1 in home games this season and 23-9-5 all-time at home.

STORY LINES
•    The Chaparrals scored four goals in their combined opening four games of the season, and have combined for 22 goals in their last six games played. LCU is currently averaging 2.6 goals per game and their program best is 2.48 from the 2011 season.
•    LCU is 4-0-0 since goalkeeper Tim Saucedo has taken over in goal as the Chaps goalkeeper (following an injury to Tristen Putnam). He entered the weekend ranking second in the Heartland Conference with a 1.24 GAA and with a 78.9% save percentage. One of only two seniors on the squad, Saucedo is now 6-1-0 in his LCU career.
•    Saturday, Tommy Fogarty-Cameron produced his first two-goal game, and his pair of goals marked the second time this season a Chaps member has produced a multi-goal performance.
•    Lubbock Christian University and St. Edward's University are the only Heartland Conference squads without a loss so far this season.   
•    Elijah Matzikatire scored his first goal of the season Saturday and became the 10th different Chaps individual to score a goal this season.
•    The Chaps enter the week on a nine-game Heartland Conference win streak (dating back to last season). It is the longest active conference win streak amongst NCAA Div.II programs.

SCOUTING NEWMAN
•    The Jets are closing out a three-game road trip Monday. They are 8-4-1 (2-2-0 in conference) and collected a 3-2 win at Texas-Permian Basin Saturday.
•    NU enters Monday's play 2-2-0 this season on the road.
•    Newman leads the Heartland Conference, entering the week averaging 2.8 goals per game. They had 13 of their 36 goals on the season tallied in a 13-0 win over Hillsdale Baptist. Kerbson Lubin is third in the conference with a team-leading seven goals.
•    The Jets are second in the conference with four shutouts posted on the season. They have been involved in seven shutouts this season.

SERIES HISTORY WITH NEWMAN
•    LCU leads the all-time series 1-0-0 against Newman.
•    Last season (Oct. 19, 2013), LCU defeated Newman 3-0 in Heartland Conference play in Wichita. Stewart MacDonell had a goal in the win for LCU.
