Jamie Boone came off the bench for a two-goal game for the Lady Chaps.

Brooke Wendl tallied her third goal in a two-game span and her goal Saturday proved to be the game-winner.

HOW IT HAPPENED• OC jumped on the board first, but it would be their only goal as Rubi Villegas notched her sixth goal of the season and it came in the 24th minute.
• LCU would eventually take a 3-1 lead into the half, as they had a trio of goals over a span of 12:14. O'Gara opened the LCU scoring on a set-piece in the 30th minute and followed with an assist on Wendl's goal in the 35th minute before Boone closed the half's scoring in the 42nd minute on a penalty kick.
• Boone recorded her second goal in the 78th minute and
Ashley Ledford closed the scoring for LCU with 1:07 left with her third goal of the season.
GAME NOTES• Wendl's game winning goal is her second in as many games and she has three on the season. The mark improves her career totals to 16 career game winning goals (program's career leader).
• LCU is not only 4-0-0 in Heartland Conference games this season, but they are 17-4-0 all-time in Heartland Conference games and 10-2-0 all-time in Heartland Conference home games.
• The 4-0-0 conference start marks the third consecutive season they have produced a 4-0-0 start to their Heartland Conference schedule. The opened the 2013 6-0-0 in conference and went 5-0-0 last season.
• Boone's two-goal performance marked her third career-multi-goal game and matched a career high. She now has 14 career goals in her LCU career. Her last multi-goal game was on Sept. 4, 2014 (vs. Southwest).
• The opening goal for Boone came on a penalty kick. It was LCU's 10th penalty kick in program history (10-for-10) and their second of the season (2-for-2). For Boone, she is now 2-for-2 all-time in penalty kick attempts and is the third Lady Chap all-time with at least two penalty kick goals.
• For a second consecutive game, LCU opened with a 1-0 deficit. They had been 0-2-1 prior to Thursday this season when the opponent scores first. They are now 2-2-1.
• With the win, LCU moves to 6-0-2 at home this season and is now 23-6-4 all-time at home under
Alex Denning. They are 26-14-6 all-time overall at home.
• LCU is now 5-0-0 all-time against OC and 3-0-0 at home.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS392:24: Villegas' goal was the first ever goal for OC against LCU in the all-time series. It ended a shutout sequence of 392:24. LCU has out-scored OC 14-1 all-time.
UP NEXTLubbock Christian (6-2-3, 4-0-0) closed out a six-game homestand with a 5-0-1 mark. They hit the road Thursday in Wichita, Kan. facing Newman, who is 3-5-2 overall and 0-1-1 in conference after a 3-0 loss at home to St. Edward's.
