Chaps Look To Get Back On Track On The Road

Struggling Chaps Seek To Rebound While Also Remaining Undefeated in Conference Road Play

LUBBOCK CHRISTIAN (4-5-2, 1-3-0) at NEWMAN (6-5-1, 1-1-0)
Thursday, October 15th - 5:00 p.m.
Wilkins Field (Wichita, Kan.)

CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
•   The Lubbock Christian University Chaparrals, who closed out a seven-game homestand, now embark on a season-ending six-game road swing beginning Thursday at Newman in Wichita, Kan. and following with Eastern New Mexico Monday in Portales, N.M.
•   The Chaps are 4-5-2 on the season and only have one win over their past eight games (1-5-2). They are coming off a 1-0 loss at home to Oklahoma Christian.
•   LCU is 2-1-0 this season in road competition. They are 7-3-0 on the road all-time under head coach Lee Williams (4-0-0 under Williams in conference road games) and they are 27-15-5 all-time in road play.

STORY LINES
•   LCU is probably looking forward to going on the road for their final six games, as they went 1-4-2 in their seven-game homestand. LCU's Mbongeni Ndlovu leads LCU on the road with four of his five goals on the road this season and has eight points.
•   The Chaps have out-shot their opponent in all but one game this season. LCU leads the Heartland Conference in shots per game (22.8), which ranks third nationally.
•   Lubbock Christian has struggled offensively over the prior nine games. LCU scored five goals in each of their first two games, but since then, they have not been able to produce more than two goals in a game.
•   The Chaps are 0-5-0 this season when scoring less than two goals.
•   Last season, Lennard Hansen (5) and Tommy Fogarty-Cameron (4) combined for nine goals in conference road games.
•   The Chaps are 15-5-0 all-time in Heartland Conference contests and 9-0-0 all-time in Heartland Conference road games.

SCOUTING NU
•   The Jets are 6-5-1 on the season and coming off a 2-0 loss to No.6 St. Edward's.
•   NU is coming off an 13-5-1 season a year ago (6-2-0 in conference). They went 9-2-1 at home last season and have a 4-3-0 home record this season.
•   The Heartland Conference selected NU third in the preseason polls. They were one of two teams to receive first place votes (2).
•   The Jets have a three-headed monster offensively, as Luca Anelli (4g,2a), Pedro Augusto (4g,2a) and Dominic Nwagwu (5g) co-lead the team each with 10 points.
•   Goalkeeper Calum Dillon has played 1102 minutes this season, which is all but nine minutes of the Jets season. The minutes leads the conference and ranks 25th nationally.

SERIES HISTORY WITH NU
•   The all-time series is tied 1-1-0, with the road team winning each meeting.
•   The prior meeting in Wichita was Oct. 19, 2013 with LCU winning 3-0. Nick Gorie had a two-goal game in the LCU win.
•   Last season, NU won 1-0 at Lubbock (Oct. 20, 2014) with Taylor Henry's goal serving as the difference.
