HOW IT HAPPENED• The game was delayed nearly 30 minutes as LCU was late arriving (traffic), but the Jets were revved up, scoring a pair of goals in the opening 20:45 of the game. Luca Anelli opened the scoring 13:35 into the game with his fifth goal of the season. Newman's second goal came in the 21st minute with Anelli setting up Dallas Fiszel for his second goal of the season.
• The Chaps cut the deficit in half in the in the 24th minute with Adu-Wusu recording his fourth goal of the season.
• With Newman leading 2-1 heading into the second half, the Jets would tack on another in the 52nd minute with Jamie Barkway scoring his first of the season. Anelli collected his second assist of the game. LCU's
Mickey Brunton converted off a cross from Adu-Wusu 33 seconds after Barkway's goal, but LCU would be unable to find an equalizer over the final 37:30 of the game.
GAME NOTES• LCU's last conference road loss was Oct. 30, 2012 at Wayland Baptist, which was LCU's final season in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
• With the loss, LCU is now lost three straight games, winless in their prior four games (0-3-1) and are 1-5-2 over their prior eight games. It marks the second time this season LCU has gone winless in a four-game span.
• Brunton matched a season high with his second three-point game of the season. His assist gives him a team-leading five assists.
• Adu-Wusu made his fourth consecutive start in which he was active. Three of his goals this season have come since making his first start (Oct. 3 vs. Texas A&M International).

Lennard Hansen, who led LCU in scoring last season, returned to the lineup after missing the prior two games with an injury. He came off the bench for 37 minutes.
• LCU is now 1-2-0 all-time against Newman, as the Jets have won the prior two meetings.
• LCU is 2-2-0 this season in road competition. They are 7-4-0 on the road all-time under head coach
Lee Williams (4-2-0 under Williams in conference road games) and they are 27-16-5 all-time in road play.
• In Heartland Conference play, the Chaps drop to 15-7-0 all-time and 9-1-0 all-time on the road.
