HOW IT HAPPENED• After a scoreless first half, SEU got on the scoreboard with a goal from Samuel Jackson in the 60th minute for his fourth goal of the season.
• In the 72nd minute, SEU's Pablo Covarrubius produced his eighth goal of the season for a 2-0 lead.
• Karl DeZoeten assisted on both Hilltoppers goals.
GAME NOTES• LCU's loss eliminates them from a berth to the Heartland Conference Tournament. It is the first time they have missed a conference tournament, when eligible, since 2010 (inaugural season).
• The shutout loss was their third shutout deficit of the season. It is the fifth time LCU has been shutout since Williams took over. All-time, it was the 24th time they have shutout all-time and the 11th time on the road.
• LCU had shutouts in their prior two games entering play Sunday. SEU's first goal ended LCU's shutout sequence at 217:14.
• Rios made his first start in goal in a conference game and stopped two of four shots on goal.
• SEU out-shot LCU 11-7. It marks only the third time an opponent has out-shot the Chaps. LCU is 0-2-1 when out-shot by the opposition.
