CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• LCU plays their first Heartland Conference road games of the season, with a stop Thursday in Austin, Texas to face nationally ranked St. Edward's before heading to Dallas, Texas to battle Dallas Baptist. LCU is 3-6-2 against nationally ranked programs, with a 2-0 loss at No.16 St. Edward's (Oct.25) marking as the last game against a ranked foe. LCU is 0-1-1 against top-5 programs.
• The Chaparrals are 2-3-1 on the season and are unbeaten in three prior games. Included in the mix is a 0-0 home draw Saturday against Newman for LCU's first Heartland Conference draw all-time.
• LCU, who went 6-3-0 last season in road competition, is 1-3-0 in road play this season and are 32-20-5 all-time in road play.
STORY LINES
• The Chaps are 18-8-1 all-time in Heartland Conference contests and 11-2-0 all-time in Heartland Conference road contests (LCU went 2-2 in conference road games last season).
• Goalkeeper
Fernando Rios was named Heartland Conference Defensive Player of the Week. He recorded a pair of shutouts and is currently riding a three-match shutout streak. His play in goal helped lead the Chaps to a 1-0-1 record last week. LCU had previously never had three consecutive shutouts in program history and Rios has not allowed a goal in a span of 291:35. He stopped all eight shots on goal he saw last week (win over Rogers State and the scoreless tie against Newman). The honor is the first for Rios. It marks the Chaps first conference defensive player of the week honor since Erik Mozzo claimed the honor on Sept. 23, 2015.
• LCU enters Thursday's game with a shutout sequence of 291:35. The program record and individual goalkeeper shutout sequence is 292:21 by Erik Mozzo from the 2013 season.
• The Chaps rank second in the Heartland Conference in shutout percentage, recording clean sheets a rate of 50%. They are behind St. Edward's in the category.
• With two game winning goals on the season,
Cody Graves ranks tied for 12
th nationally in the category.

Andres Ramirez is the only Chap (non-goalkeeper) that has played all 560 minutes of the Chaps season.
SCOUTING SEU
• The Hilltoppers are coming off a 15-3-2 mark last season in which they finished 8-0-0 in the Heartland Conference. They are 6-0-0 to start off this season, which includes a 2-0-0 mark against ranked opponents.
• SEU, who went 11-1-1 last season at home, is 2-0-0 at home this season, but they have yet to play a home game on campus. They played home games in Seguin, Texas and San Antonio.
• The Heartland Conference has Newman preseason picked second in the conference preseason poll.
• With an unblemished record, SEU is one of 15 teams in NCAA Div. II with a perfect record.
• The Hilltoppers have a save percentage of 92.9% on the season, which ranks fourth nationally. Goalkeeper Kevin Leib is third nationally in GAA (0.17) and fifth in save percentage (92.9%).
SERIES HISTORY WITH SEU
• The all-time series is led by St. Edwards 2-1-0.
• This meeting will mark the fourth all-time meeting and the third scheduled as a home game for the Hilltoppers (LCU is 1-1-0 on the road vs. SEU).
• The prior meeting was Oct. 25, 2015 in a game played in Buda, Texas due to weather. SEU won the game 2-0.
