CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
•   LCU continues a four-game Heartland Conference road trip, with their third game of the trip Thursday evening at West Texas A&M. LCU is seeking their first win on the trip after a 3-0 loss at St. Edward's and a 3-2 loss at Dallas Baptist. This is LCU's first West Division game within the Heartland Conference.
•   The Chaparrals are 2-5-1 on the season and are 1-2-1 in Heartland Conference play.
•   LCU, who went 6-3-0 last season in road competition, is 1-5-0 in road play this season and are 32-22-5 all-time in road play.
 
STORY LINES
•   The Chaps are 18-10-1 all-time in Heartland Conference contests and 11-4-0 all-time in Heartland Conference road contests (LCU went 2-2 in conference road games last season).
•   LCU is coming off a contest in which they outshot Dallas Baptist 26-11 and had a shots on goal advantage of 10-4. The shots marked a season high (most since 26 on Oct. 1, 2015) and the 10 shots on goal matched a season high. LCU also had a season-high 11 corner kicks (most since 11 on Oct. 5, 2015).
•   The Chaps rank 21st nationally in fouls per game, with an average of 9.3 per contest.
•   It has been a tale of two halves for LCU in goal differential. LCU has outscored opponents 5-4 in the second half, but have been outscored 7-1 in the opening half this season.
•   With two game winning goals on the season, Cody Graves ranks tied for 25th nationally in the category.
•   Fernando Rios, ranking 33rd nationally in saves (36), is 30th nationally in goalkeeping minutes played with a conference leading 740:00.
 
SCOUTING WT
•   The Buffs are coming off an 9-8-0 mark last season. They are 6-2-0 to start off this season, which includes a 3-1-0 conference record.
•   WT, who went 5-3-0 last season at home, is 3-0-0 at home this season. They are coming off a four-game road trip, in which they went 3-1-0 and ended the trip with a 3-0 win at St. Mary's Saturday.
•   The Heartland Conference has WT preseason picked third in the conference preseason poll. This is their first season affiliated with the Heartland Conference in men's soccer, as their other sports compete in the Lone Star Conference.
•   WT has the highest scoring offense in the conference (19th nationally) with 2.6 goals per game. Five of their six victories have been by three or more goals.  
•   The Buffs rank 12th nationally in shots on goal with a mark of 8.3 per game.
 
SERIES HISTORY WITH WT
•  LCU leads the series 2-1-0.
•  The Chaps have won the prior two meetings, including a 3-2 win (Nov. 2, 2015) in the most recent meeting, which was in Canyon, Texas.
