CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• Lubbock Christian University is looking to break back into the win column Saturday afternoon with a conference tilt against St. Mary's University. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. at LCU Soccer Field, and will wrap up a two-game home stand for the Chaparrals.
• The Chaps are looking to rebound after a 2-0 loss to Texas A&M International Thursday afternoon.
• LCU has not lost back-to-back contests since a 1-0 loss to then No. 16 Colorado Mesa (9/1/17) and a 2-0 loss to South Dakota School of Mines (9/3/17) on opening weekend.
• Head coach Paul Gilbert and his squad are 3-4-0 at home this season and 5-7-2 at home since Gilbert took over in 2016.

STORY LINES
Parker O'Quinn's .948 goals against average ranks fifth in the Heartland Conference. The sophomore is coming off of a season-high eight save performance against Texas A&M International. O'Quinn has notched 46 saves while posting a 4-4-2 record for the season.
• Saturday's game marks the Chap's final match against a Heartland Conference Non-West Division opponent. LCU holds a 2-3-2 record this season against Heartland opponents outside of the West Division.
• Lubbock Christian is in need of a win in order to regain the second-place spot in the Western Division. As of now, LCU sits in the West's third place position with 11 conference points, one point behind Texas – Permian Basin and five points shy of division leader West Texas A&M.
• Gilbert's men are still looking for an offensive breakout game this season as all of their wins have come by a one-goal margin. Further, the Chaps have notched one multiple-goal game in 2017.
• Saturday will not only be important for LCU from a conference standings perspective, but from a history stand point. St. Mary's head coach Matt Barnes is a former head coach for the Lubbock Christian program from the 2013 season. After leaving the LCU program in 2014, Barnes spent two years coaching at San Francisco State University before returning to the Heartland Conference to take over the St. Mary's program in 2016. The Chaps are 0-1-0 when playing against Barnes.
