Chaps in New Mexico For Final Road Contest

CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• Lubbock Christian University will play their final road game of the 2017 season Thursday night in a Heartland Conference West Division matchup against Eastern New Mexico University. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. (central time) at Greyhound Stadium in Portales, N.M.
• The Chaps are in a two-match scoring slump, losing back-to-back contests on the road.
• LCU holds a 1-5-2 record when playing on the road this season and a 1-3-1 record all-time when playing on the road against Eastern New Mexico.

STORY LINES
• The Chaparrals are out of the playoff hunt as they hold 14 points within conference standings. LCU is unable to surpass Texas – Permian Basin, who holds 21 points in West Division standings.
• With two matches to play, Lubbock Christian has tucked away 14 goals this season. The program low for team goals scored in a single season was set last year with 17 goals.
• Senior Corey Hutchison leads the Lubbock Christian squad with 10 points on four goals and two assists.
Parker O'Quinn's 5.08 saves per game average is on pace for a new single season record for the Chaparral program. The feat is currently held by Tim Saucedo's 4.45 saves per game from the 2014 season.
• Five of Lubbock Christian's six scoreless matches this season have come while playing on the road.

SCOUTING ENMU
• The Greyhounds head into Thursday night's contest holding the 11th place position for Heartland Conference standings with six conference points.
• Christopher Mesquita leads the ENMU squad with 11 points on five goals and one assist.
• Eastern New Mexico has notched 15 goals as a team this season while allowing 38 from their opposition.
• ENMU has allowed 2.38 goals per contest, moving their average margin to -1.44 for the season.
• The Greyhounds have employed three different goalkeepers this season who have all combined for a conference leading 96 saves. Yuri Nascimiento leads the trio of Eastern New Mexico keepers with a running time of 646:53 played, a 2-3-1 record and 39 saves recorded.


SERIES HISTORY WITH ENMU
The meeting between the teams will be the 12th all-time in a rivalry that dates back to LCU's inaugural 2010 season. The Greyhounds hold a 5-3-3 overall record against Lubbock Christian. The squads squared off earlier this season (Sept. 30) in what proved to be a 1-0 Chap victory after Abdou Joof attacked the net for an early second half goal.
