LCU HIGHLIGHTS
• For the second consecutive match, Lubbock Christian University closed out a double overtime contest with a 1-1 draw, this time against Oklahoma Christian University. The stalemate occurred at Putnam City Stadium in Oklahoma City, Okla. after weather conditions forced the match to be moved from OC's Eagle Soccer Field. The Chaps now stand at a 3-3-2 Heartland Conference record and hold a 4-6-2 overall record for the season.
• The Chaparrals tabbed a season-high nine shots on goal for a .692 shots on goal mark against the Eagles.
• After a seven-save performance Thursday night,
Parker O'Quinn came up with six more in the draw against Oklahoma Christian. O'Quinn now holds a 4-3-2 record for the season.
• LCU closed out the contest's final 42 minutes with 10 men as
Brandon Couling was given a red card in the 68
th minute.

Richie Vaca-Cordova recorded his first goal of the season late in the second half to force extra time.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• After 55 minutes of scoreless play, Oklahoma Christian struck first on a goal by Cole Helterbrand. Helterbrand was assisted by Garrett Blume before dribbling into the six-yard box and tucking his shot past
Parker O'Quinn.
• LCU was scrambling to even the score before OC committed a foul at the 86:11 mark. Vaca-Cordova stepped up to the set-piece and proceeded to tuck a shot past Eagle keeper Gianluca Marchetti from 40-yards out to even the margin at 1-1.
GAME NOTES
• Couling's red card marks the second straight match for the Chaps to complete a game with ten men.
• Following the result, Lubbock Christian collects a point within conference standings for 11 total on the season. The Chaps now stand five points behind Western Division frontrunner West Texas A&M with six matches to go on the Heartland Conference schedule.
• Not only does the draw against the Eagles mark the second tying result of the season, but it also marks the second consecutive contest in which LCU scored a goal within the final five minutes of regulation. Seven of the Chaparral's 10 goals this season have come in the second half.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
1: The Chaps were able to record a goal in each game over the weekend for a pair of 1-1 draws. The stalemates mark the first time in program history that the Chaps have tied in consecutive contests.
UP NEXT
The Chaparrals will return home for a conference tilt with Texas A&M International Oct. 12. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. at LCU Soccer Field. The Chaps have won three straight meetings against the Dustdevils and hold a 3-1-0 all-time record in the series that dates back to the 2013 season.
