The match combined for 199 digs, with LCU's Kelsey French collecting 37 digs in the match. Camille Porco led LCU with 12 kills and they received a double-double from Brynn Warnack, who posted 27 assists and 18 digs. How It Happened

Set One:
The Lady Chaps had to hold off a late rally by the Patriots to take the opening set 25-20. LCU led as much as 15-10 before 6-2 DBU run cut LCU's lead to 17-16. Leading 20-19, Channing Stewart was able to start a 5-1 LCU run to close the set. Porco led LCU in the set with four kills (in six attempts). LCU had a 14-9 advantage in kills in the set.

Set Two:
The second set was a tightly played set. Neither team had more than a three-point lead until the Patriots matched LCU's run to end the opening set with a 5-1 run of their own to claim the second set 25-21. Three attack errors and a bad set by the Lady Chaps filled the Patriots surge to end the set. Emily Hanaway led LCU in the set with four kills. Brooke Clark led DBU in the set with four kills. Porco tried to help the Lady Chaps cause with two serving aces in the set.

Set Three:
LCU tried to steal the third set, but was unsuccessful. Trailing 18-14, Jaiden Kennedy shared a block and followed with a block to cut the DBU lead to 19-17. DBU called a timeout and pushed the lead to 21-17 before Porco had a kill to cap a 6-2 LCU run to even the set at 23-23. The set would be tied 24-24 before Alexa Lezak produced a kill for DBU and an ensuing attack error by the Lady Chaps provided DBU a 26-24 set win. Clark (5) and Lezak (4) combined for nine kills in the set for DBU. Stewart and Porco each had four kills for LCU in the frame. French had a whopping 15 digs in the set, as LCU finished the set with 31 (teams combined for 61 in the set).

Set Four:
Neither team led by more than three points the entire fourth set, which was highlighted by seven lead changes and the score tied on 12 occasions. LCU never led after allowing an 18-17 lead slip away, although they were able to tie the score at 22-22 and 23-23. A bad set following by a kill from Lezak provided the match win with a 25-23 set final. Lezak and Katie Nicholson each had four kills in the set for DBU. French had another big dig-filled set with 10 digs. Lauren Zoller tried to help the Lady Chaps to a fifth set with seven kills in the frame for LCU.
