FIRST
The Lady Chaps (30-15) scored all four of their runs in the first inning. Katera Eltsosie doubled to left field to bring home Casey Ingram for the first run before Haley Hardison hit a three-run blast over the center field fence plating Sydney Beuthien, Eltsosie and herself to put LCU up 4-0.

IN THE CIRCLE
Katera Eltsosie (15-5) started in the circle for LCU going 6.1 innings allowing no runs run off nine hits while striking out three to earn her 15th victory of the season. Haley Freyman (14-8) started for Tarleton State going the distance giving up four runs on five hits to suffer her eighth loss of 2017.

In the eighth inning with the international tie breaker rule in place the TexAnns were able to get the runner home from second base to go up 2-1 while LCU was unable to get their runner home in the bottom half of the inning.
