CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• Lubbock Christian University enters Sunday's match with a 0-3-0 record following a 2-1 loss to University of the Southwest.
• The match against Adams State will serve as the Chap's second home contest of the 2017 season, as well as their final non-conference tilt.
• LCU holds a 12-16-4 non-conference record since making the transition into NCAA Div. II status.

STORY LINES
• Lubbock Christian is 1-6-0 in non-conference bouts since head coach Paul Gilbert took over in 2016. The one win came last season against Adams State.
• Sophomore Abdou Joof recorded the Chaparral's first goal of the season, against University of the Southwest, snapping a 275:26 scoring drought.
• LCU has not won at home since a 1-0 result over Oklahoma Christian (10/8/16) last season.
• The Chaps have not lost back-to-back home contests since a 4-1 loss to Rogers State (10/8/15) and a 1-0 loss to Oklahoma Christian (10/10/15) in the 2015 season.
• The Chaparrals are averaging 11.7 shots per game. They also hold a 16-11 shots-on-goal advantage over opponents this season.

SCOUTING ASU
• Adams State comes into Sunday's game with a 3-0-0 record to kick off the 2017 campaign. All three of their victories have come over Heartland Conference member institutions.
• The Sunday showdown with Lubbock Christian will also serve as Adams State's final non-conference bout for the season.
• The Grizzlies finished their 2016 schedule with a 6-12-0 overall record as well as a 3-11-0 record in conference play.
• Although the Grizzlies head into Sunday's bout with a 3-0-0 record, history could repeat itself. ASU was 3-0-0 going into their match with Lubbock Christian in the 2016 season before the Chaps handed them a 1-0 loss.
• Adams State head coach Brett Bentley, a former LCU men's assistant soccer coach, is in his second season at the helm of the Grizzlies program. In 2016, his six wins tied ASU's record for most wins in a season.

SERIES HISTORY WITH ASU
• The meeting with ASU will be the third all-time between the squads and the second since Gilbert became the head coach for LCU. The Chaps hold a 2-0-0 advantage over the Grizzlies following a 1-0 win in 2016.
