• Lubbock Christian University men's soccer rolls into Wichita, Kan. with a 1-4-0 overall record and a 0-1-0 record in Heartland Conference play.
• LCU stands 35-28-5 all-time in games on the road and 14-8-0 in Heartland Conference away matches.
• Saturday's contest will close out a two-game road trip for the Chaparrals.
STORY LINES
• The Chaparrals have been defeated by shutout a total of 26 times in program history. Of those 26 losses, six have come since joining the Heartland Conference.
• LCU has not been held scoreless in back-to-back conference contests since a 0-0 draw with Newman (9/17/16) and a 3-0 loss to St. Edward's (9/22/16) last season.
• Lubbock Christian's only win of the season has been at home in a 1-0 victory over Adams State.
• The Chaps have been held scoreless on the road so far in the 2017 campaign, going a total of 278:52 without posting a goal in away contests.
• LCU has never lost consecutive games to open up a Heartland Conference schedule since joining the conference in the 2013 season.
SCOUTING NU
• Newman heads into Saturday averaging 1.6 goals per game. The Jets have scored a total of eight goals in their five contests this season.
• Jamie Barkway ranks first in the Heartland, 19
th nationally, for goals on the season (4).
• As a squad, NU leads the conference and ranks eighth in the nation for yellow cards received (16). The Jets are averaging 16.2 fouls and 3.2 yellow cards per contest.
• Chase Bowman has played and started in all five of Newman's games this season. Bowman ranks 21
st nationally with a .773 save percentage on the year. He has faced 42 shots and recorded 17 saves.
• Jamie Barkway is coming off of a Heartland Conference Player of the Week honor.
SERIES HISTORY WITH NU
Newman holds a 2-1-1 record over the Chaparrals. Their prior meeting went the double overtime distance before ending in a 0-0 draw at LCU Soccer Field. LCU's lone win in the series came on the road in Wichita, Kan. in the form of a 3-0 win (10/19/13).
