• Lubbock Christian University dropped to a 4-2-1 overall record, 1-1-1 in Heartland play, after a 2-1 loss to reigning Heartland Conference Tournament Champions Dallas Baptist Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• DBU's Elise Royer struck first in the 32
nd minute with a long-range one hopper from the right side of the field. Royer's shot cleared LCU keeper
Hannah Wise's head before crossing the line at the far post.
• Sanchez connected for LCU from 10 yards out in the 48
th minute marking her second goal on the season.
Haley Knesek assisted Sanchez on a through-ball that split the DBU defense.
• Dallas Baptist's Lindsey Beckrich marked her game-winner in the 77
th minute for her first goal of the season.
GAME NOTES

Hannah Wise had her shutout sequence come to an end at 429:04 following the 2-1 loss. The freshman's feat marks a program record for Lubbock Christian.
• Both of the Lady Chap's losses this season have come with the opposing team scoring first.
• LCU is now 0-6-1 against the Patriots with two of the six losses coming at LCU Soccer Field.

th of her career at Lubbock Christian. She has also posted 44 points and four assists in her four years with the Lady Chaps.

The Lady Chaparrals will now hit the road for a four-game road trip beginning in San Antonio, Texas against St. Mary's University. The match will be hosted at the Rattlers Sigma Beta Chi Field Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m. LCU leads the series with a 3-2-2 record. In the previous showdown, The Lady Chaps took the Rattlers to two overtime periods before ending in a 1-1 draw (10/15/16).
