• Lubbock Christian University fell to a 2-5-0 overall record and a 1-2-0 mark in conference standings after a 2-1 loss to a No. 17 ranked St. Edward's squad Thursday afternoon.
• The Chaps tallied two shots for the day, but kept their efficiency high by scoring on one attempt.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Louis Callaghan struck first in the 14
th minute on an assist by
Conner Dean. Callaghan ripped his shot from 30-yards out in the center of the field beating SEU keeper William Tuffin to the upper right hand side of the frame.
• St. Edward's evened things up in the 28
th minute on a set-piece pass from Dylan Armstrong to Pablo Covarrubias. Covarrubias was able to tuck his shot away in the near side post from inside the 18-yard box.
• The Hilltoppers pulled away on a final goal from Armstrong inside the six-yard box in the 64
th minute.
GAME NOTES
• The Chaps fall to a 1-4-0 record against St. Edward's with their only win over the Hilltoppers coming in the 2013 season.
• In Lubbock Christian's five showdowns with the Hilltoppers, SEU has been ranked each time.
• LCU now stands 2-8-4 all-time when facing ranked opponents. Callaghan's performance marks Lubbock Christian's 15
th goal against a ranked foe.

The Chaparrals own a 3-1-0 all-time record over the Patriots. In their most recent meeting, DBU outlasted the Chaps 3-2 in Dallas, Texas (9/24/16). Saturday's contest will mark the second time ever for LCU to host Dallas Baptist.
