LCU HIGHLIGHTS
• The Chaps totaled 18 shots for the game while landing six shots on goal. Luck was not on LCU's side, however, as all six of their attempts on goal were saved by the SDM goalkeeper. Lubbock Christian's offense was spread evenly as they had three shots on goal in each half.
• In addition to attacking the net, LCU racked up nine corner kicks for the match. Seven of those corners came inside the final half of play.
• There were a total of 26 fouls between the squads. The Chaparrals committed ten and managed to stay away from any bookings. South Dakota Mines' Brett Bender received the only yellow card of the contest in the 12
th minute of play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Both of the Hardrockers goals came in the second half just ten minutes apart.
• Trenton Magryta connected from outside of the 18-yard box in the 59
th minute for his first goal of the season.
• SDM's Charles Kieffer was responsible for the final goal of the match in the 69
th minute off of an assist from Julian Bouchard.
GAME NOTES
• The loss drops the Chaparrals to 0-2-0 on the season for the second consecutive year.
• Following the result, LCU stands 1-2-0 all-time in neutral site games.
• Lubbock Christian has not won outside of the Lone Star State since a 1-0 win over Adams State University (9/11/16).
• The Chaps are now 12-13-6 in non-conference matchups since making the transition to NCAA Division II status in 2013.

UP NEXT
The Chaps will return home and gear up for the 2017 home opener against University of the Southwest on Sept. 6. The match will be played Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. on the LCU Soccer Field. This will be the 10th ever meeting between the squads. The Chaparrals hold a 7-1-1 series record over Southwest in a series that stretches back to the 2010 season.
