CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• Lubbock Christian University will close out a four-game home stand Saturday afternoon against Heartland Conference Western Division rival Eastern New Mexico University. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at LCU Soccer Field.
• The Chaps are looking to move up in the division standings after a 2-1 loss to West Texas A&M Thursday evening.
• LCU is 30-21-9 all-time at home and 14-16-6 at home since joining the Heartland Conference in the 2013 season.
STORY LINES
•
Parker O'Quinn enters Saturday's game following a season-high seven-save performance against West Texas A&M. In six appearances, O'Quinn has posted 22 saves, while holding opponents to a .98 goals per game average.
• The Chaps now have four different players in the scoring column this season. Junior
Louis Callaghan leads LCU with three goals and one assist on the season.
• Lubbock Christian's defense has limited opponents to a .368 shots on goal percentage for the 2017 campaign.
• LCU is 3-1-0 on the season when scoring the first goal of the game. Since beginning the season with a pair of shutout defeats, the Chaparrals have scored in the past four consecutive matches.
• Lubbock Christian has not lost back-to-back games since the second week of the season.
SCOUTING ENMU
• Eastern New Mexico is coming off of a 4-0 loss at Texas – Permian Basin Thursday night. Further, the Greyhounds have lost four straight matches.
• ENMU has scored 12 goals on the year, while allowing 23 goals from the opposition. The Greyhound defense is averaging 2.43 goals allowed per game.
• Eastern New Mexico ranks 12
th in the nation, third in the Heartland Conference, in yellow cards received (20). As a team, they are averaging 14.6 fouls per contest.
• The Greyhounds have given up four penalty kicks, three of which have been converted by their opponents. Three of the penalty kicks were surrendered in non-conference matchups.
• Yuri Nascimiento ranks first in the Heartland Conference averaging 5.14 saves per game. Nascimiento has tallied 36 saves in seven starts for the Greyhounds.
SERIES HISTORY WITH ENMU
ENMU leads the all-time series with a 5-2-3 record. LCU has fallen to Eastern New Mexico 2-1 in the previous two meetings. The Chaps have recorded one win on the road as well as one at LCU Soccer Field. Lubbock Christian's most recent win over the Greyhounds came on the road in the 2015 season in a 2-0 performance.
