Senior Day Soured For Lady Chaps

LCU HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior day was soured for Lubbock Christian University who fell to St. Edward's University 2-0 Saturday afternoon at Frenship Soccer Stadium.
- Lubbock Christian could not seem to find the net, however still managed to outshoot the Hilltoppers by a 15-8 margin.
- Makenna Pate recorded eight of LCU's 15 shots for the afternoon. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sarah Gunderson put the Hilltoppers up before the halftime break with a finish in the 31stminute. Gunderson took the ball herself into the 18-yard box to beat LCU's Tory Hudgens.
- Elianna Chavez struck once again for St. Edward's in the 69thminute of play finding the net on a cross from Sabrina Cone.

GAME NOTES
- Following the result, the Lady Chaparrals fall to an 8-8-0 overall record and a 7-5-0 record in Heartland play.
- LCU now stands in the fourth-place among Heartland Conference standings with 21 points.
- The loss snaps a four-match win streak for Lubbock Christian that was created Saturday, Oct. 6 in a 6-0 win over Oklahoma Christian.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
2: LCU's regular-season schedule has dwindled down to two remaining games. Although they stand four points in front of Rogers State, who has 17 conference points, a pair of wins by the Lady Chaps would help secure a spot in the conference tournament. 

UP NEXT
Lubbock Christian will remain at home to take on Oklahoma Christian Thursday, Oct. 25 in the final home contest of the season. Kickoff against the Eagles is scheduled for 3 p.m. at LCU Soccer Field.
