Lady Chaps Get Offensive With Lady Eagles Again

11th All-time Meeting Ends With Ninth LCU Shutout Win and Second straight 6-0 Result

LCU HIGHLIGHTS
- LCU matched its season-high for goals scored with six, with their prior six-goal output obtained in their previous meeting with OC (Oct. 6)
- Stayed in fourth place in the Heartland Conference standings and clinched their third Heartland Conference Tournament berth.
- Allowed just two shots, (both on goal) the entire game.
- LCU put 16 of its 32 shots on frame.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hollie Windham got things started in the fourth minute when she scored her sixth goal of the season off a Makenna Pate assist. Windham ripped it in the back corner on a shot inside the 18 mark.
- The Lady Chaps made it 2-0 in the ninth minute when Windham ripped a shot off OC's Josie Knox that ricocheted to Haley Knesek who notched her fifth goal of the season.
- LCU added two more before the half to lead 4-0 as Kaite Pullano, the only senior for LCU, scored her first goal of the season and of her career off a free kick that was outside the 18-yard box.
- Gabby Gomez scored the last goal off the half in the 43rd minute when she put one home off a Shadiana Haney shot that rebounded off the keeper.
- The Lady Chaps pushed it to 5-0 on an Allison Scott penalty kick in the 50th minute for her sixth goal of the year (LCU improved to 2-for-2 in penalty kicks this season).
- Pate capped the scoring with her eighth goal of the year. Pate ripped a shot outside of the 18 off a Victoria Ramiriez assist.

GAME NOTES
- LCU has gone 7-2 over its last nine games heading into their final regular season game Saturday.
- LCU moved into a share of third place in the Heartland Conference standings with 24 points (tied with Newman).

1: The lone senior for the Lady Chaps, Katie Pullano scored her first goal of the season.

UP NEXT
Lubbock Christian now heads to Rogers State Saturday for a showdown at noon for the final game of the regular season. With a win at RSU and either a tie or loss by Newman at Oklahoma Christian, LCU can move into sole possession of third place on the final day.
