Set One:
Jaiden Kennedy produced a kill with LCU up 8-7 to start a 7-3 run for a 15-10 advantage. TAMIU responded with an 8-4 run to cut their deficit back to one (19-18).
Ashley Vanfleet produced a kill to get the Lady Chaps back on track and they closed the set on a 5-2 run to win the set 25-21. LCU had 21 kills in the set, with
Avery Moore registering seven.
Set Two:
LCU fell behind 5-2 in the second set, but then rattled off 16 of the next 22 points for an 18-11 advantage. They closed the set on a 5-1 run for a 25-15 set win. Samantha Herrera had six of TAMIU's 11 kills in the set, while LCU's
Morgan Schwarz and Vanfleet each had four kills to co-lead LCU in the set. LCU had their best attack set with a rate of .360. They had their fewest kills (12), as they produced six team blocks.
Jaiden Kennedy had four blocks (two solo) in the set.
Set Three:
Eight of the game's first 12 points in the third set were off kills (match was tied 6-6). LCU eventually surged on a 7-0 run to take a 17-9 lead, with three of the points scored off kills from
Lauren Zoller. They bult the lead to 21-11 before claiming the set 25-17. LCU held TAMIU to a .000 attack mark in the set and nine kills. Moore led all players in the set with four kills.
