LCU HIGHLIGHTS
- After a hard-fought double-overtime match, Lubbock Christian was forced to a 1-1 stalemate against Eastern New Mexico University Saturday afternoon at LCU Soccer Field
- The Chaparrals recorded 18 shots in the effort with four landing on target.
- Freshman Armand Kouakou registered the first goal of his career in the second period.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Joao Gabriel Andrade struck first for Eastern New Mexico receiving a pass just outside of 18-yard box and lofting a shot over LCU's Braxton Thorne in the 31^st minute.
- Kouakou got into the mix in the 52^nd minute with a loose ball finish. Richie Vaca-Cordova originally fired in a cross that found the head of Ivan Muanze-Bengono. Muanze-Bengono fired at the goal forcing the Eastern New Mexico keeper to make a deflection save. Armand Kouakou found himself in the right position to the deflection and find the back of the net.

GAME NOTES
- The result marks the first draw of the season for Lubbock Christian keeping them tied for first-place with the Greyhounds in the Western Division of Heartland Conference standings.
- Starting Chap defender Jonathan Woods was forced to exit early from the contest after suffering an injury in the opening period.
- Eastern New Mexico was given a pair of cautions on the afternoon in the 65^th and 106^th minutes.

The Chaparrals will now hit the road for a pair of Heartland Conference contests. First up for the Lubbock Christian squad will be a test against Dallas Baptist University Thursday, Sept. 20. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Patriot Soccer Field on the DBU campus.
