- With 13 goals to their credit, LCU is averaging 2.6 goals per match on 12.6 shots per game.
- Braxton Thorne has made a name for himself through the opening five contests leading the Heartland Conference and ranking 20^thnationally for save percentage (.857) and goals against average (.569).

Thursday night's game serves as the sixth all-time meeting between Lubbock Christian and Dallas Baptist. The Chaps have experienced a wealth of success when facing the Patriots as they hold a 4-1-0 record over DBU. Most recently, the squads met in the 2017 season where Louis Callaghan bolstered the Chaparral offense with a pair of goals in a 2-1 victory at LCU Soccer Field (Sept. 23, 2017). With that being said, DBU's lone win in the rivalry came in 3-2 match in Dallas, Texas (Sept. 24, 2016).
