Lady Chaps Slide On Rainy Day

LCU HIGHLIGHTS
- After a weather conditions that forced a two-hour delay, Lubbock Christian University wrapped up their weekend on the losing end of a 4-1 result against Dallas Baptist University.
- Makenna Pate recorded three shots on target with one finding the net for LCU.
- Freshman Tory Hudgens made her goalkeeping debut for the Lady Chaparrals in the final 18 minutes of the match in which she recorded one save.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Abigail Olmos struck first for the Patriots in the 19thminute finishing from the six-yard box on an assist from Delaney Schmidt.
- Ericca Everson put DBU up by two converting on the right side of the net with a pass from Summerlyn Heller.
- Everson struck again in the second period at the 66-minute mark taking in a through-ball from Jayme Woodfill on the left side of the field.
- Makenna Pate did her diligence to make sure Lubbock Christian was not held scoreless as she capitalized on a penalty kick in the 88thminute.
- Tiarra Hodges provided the dagger for Dallas Baptist in the 89thminute on another assist from Delaney Schmidt.

GAME NOTES
- Lubbock Christian moves to a 2-6-0 overall record and a 1-3-0 mark in Heartland Conference play.
- The Lady Chaps are still looking for their first road win as they stand 0-3 when playing away from LCU Soccer Field this season. 
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
25: With Hudgens making her collegiate debut for LCU late in the second period, a 25-game streak was snapped in which Hannah Wise started and ended the game in the net for the Lady Chaps.

UP NEXT
LCU will now make their way home to host a Heartland Conference showdown against St. Mary's. The Lady Chaps will take on the Rattlers Thursday, Sept. 27. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. at LCU Soccer Field.
