Chaparrals Aim to Remain Unbeaten at Home

CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
- Thursday afternoon the Lubbock Christian University men's soccer team will play host to Oklahoma Christian in a Heartland Conference tilt. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Frenship H.S. Soccer Stadium.
- The Chaparrals remain unbeaten at home this season and hold a 2-0-1 record when serving as the host team.
- With a strong performance through the first eight contests, Lubbock Christian finds themselves in third-place overall and second-place in the Western Division of Heartland Conference standings.

STORY LINES
- Lubbock Christian enters their second consecutive week ranked eighth in the United Soccer Coaches South Central Regional poll.
- The Chaparrals defense leads the Heartland Conference with three goals allowed throughout their first eight contests.
- Louis Callaghan, Cade Von Heimburg and Tariq Bakkali lead the Chap roster with three goals apiece.  
- LCU stands 1-0 when playing at Frenship H.S. Soccer Stadium following a 4-0 win over Southern Nazarene University earlier this season (Sept. 8). 
- Braxton Thorne has claimed a .714 shutout percentage on five clean sheets to rank sixth in the nation in both categories.

SCOUTING OC
- Oklahoma Christian enters the contest with a 3-4-1 overall record and a 1-2-1 mark in Heartland contests.
- The Eagles are averaging 1.38 goals per game on 10.9 shot attempts.
- With 15 yellow cards, OC is tied for second in the conference for cautions received. The Eagle squad has also committed 109 fouls this season.
- Anthony Trabichet has converted 6.5 saves per contest ranking ninth nationally in the category.
- OC has lost two of their last three contests, but most recently managed to pull off a 1-1 draw against a No. 11 ranked St. Mary's University.
 
SERIES HISTORY WITH OC
Lubbock Christian stands 6-1-1 all-time when facing Oklahoma Christian. The Chaparrals have won four times at LCU Soccer Field, however their lone loss to the Eagles also came at home. Four of the six Chap victories have come in shutout fashion over OC.
