HOW IT HAPPENED
- Angelo State got an early scoring chance from Trenadey Scott, as she fired at the bottom left corner, but LCU goalkeeper Hannah Wise made the save
- Allison Scott put the Lady Chaps on top in the 15th minute, scoring a goal that was assisted by Celia Duarte
- Only one more shot was put on frame by either team the rest of the opening half, and Wise again stopped it to keep LCU on top
- The Lady Chaps got two quick scoring chances from Duarte and Hollie Windham six minutes into the second half, but both were saved by the Belle goalkeeper
- Wise countered with two saves of her own in the 54th minute, followed by another to keep ASU at bay in the 63rd minute
- The seventh and final save from the LCU keeper came in the 74th minute, as she stopped a shot from ASU's Reagan Urbany
- Kiah Benham finally gave Angelo State the equalizer in the game's 86th minute
- Trenadey Scott found the back of the net and secured ASU's win in the 92nd minute
LCU HIGHLIGHTS
- Hannah Wise's seven saves were a season-high and the most she has made in a single game since tallying 14 on September 8, 2018 against Southwestern Oklahoma State
- LCU's five different shots on goal all came from different players, including Gabby Gomez, Celia Duarte, Hailey Phipps, Hollie Windham and Allison Scott
- Allison Scott's goal in the 15th minute was her sixth of the season, moving her into a tie for most on the team
- The Lady Chaps committed just four fouls during the game compared to nine for Angelo State. The four fouls are their second lowest single-game total of the season
LADY CHAP NOTES
- Thursday's meeting was the first-ever between Lubbock Christian and Angelo State
- The game was LCU's first to go to overtime since October 4, 2018 when they lost 0-1 at Newman
- Duarte's assist on Scott's goal in the 15th minute put the two in a tie for third in the Lone Star Conference in points with 15 apiece
- The Lady Chaps put five of their seven total shots on goal, leading to their second-highest shot-on-goal percentage (.714) of the season. The only game with a higher percentage was the season opener at UCCS, when three of the four attempts were on frame
