LCU HIGHLIGHTS
- The Lady Chaps faced a season-high nine shots on goal, but allowed just the one St. Edward's score
- Defender Shadiana Haney's assist was her second of the 2019 season. The other came in the October 3 win over Texas Woman's
- Hannah Wise made six saves in just 80 minutes in goal and has now stopped more than five shots on goal in back-to-back games
- Duarte's goal was her sixth of the season, putting her into a tie for the team lead. It was her first goal since the September 22 win over UT Permian Basin
LADY CHAP NOTES
- The tie gave Lubbock Christian their 10th point in conference play this season, which currently slots them in fifth place in the league standings
- LCU had not previously ended a game in a tie this season or at all last season, as their last draw was against Rogers State on October 26, 2017 (0-0)
- Duarte is now tied for first in the Lone Star Conference in points with 17. Teammate Haley Knesek is the only other league player with the same amount
- The tie ended a five-match win streak for St. Edward's, who had not lost or tied since falling to Angelo State in double overtime on September 21
- LCU's goals per game average dropped to 2.636 with just one score against the Hilltoppers, but that number is still good for second in the LSC
NEXT UP
- The Lady Chaps will return home for a two-game slate, starting with Thursday's 3 p.m. matchup against St. Mary's at the LCU Soccer Field
