PORTALES, N.M. (March 26, 2019) – Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals swept the Eastern New Mexico University Greyhounds 10-2 and 13-2 on Tuesday in Portales, New Mexico at Greyhound Field with both games ending in five innings via the mercy rule.

Game 1 vs. ENMU

Lindzi Clemmer led off the third inning with a home run over the left field fence to tie the game before three batters later
Megan Darling drove in
KK Lopez-Liu. The Lady Chaps scored another seven runs in the fourth inning to go up by eight closing out the game with the run-rule victory in five innings.
How it Happened:
· ENMU took the opening lead plating two runs in the first inning.
· Darling homered to lead off the second inning to cut the lead in half.
· Clemmer homered to lead off the third inning followed by Darling driving in Lopez-Liu to take the lead.
· Three doubles, three walks and an error combined for seven additional runs for the Lady Chaps in the fourth inning.

Taylor Franco pitched her fifth complete game of the season to improve to 7-5.
Inside the Numbers:
· The four hits were the second-fewest total produced this season by LCU.
· Of ENMU's five base hits, all were infield singles.
· LCU improved to 5-4 in games when their opponent scored first.
· The Lady Chaps were 1-for-6 in two-out at-bats.

Turning Point:
LCU had two doubles and a single in the first inning scoring twice and never relinquishing the lead. The Lady Chaps scored in all five innings of the game once again closing out the game in five innings via the mercy rule.
How it Happened:
· LCU scored first, Lopez-Liu hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score Wysocki followed by Villarreal doubling to left center field plating Arredondo.
· Precious Aguirre reached on a fielding error in the first inning and came around to score for the Greyhounds first run.
· Clemmer doubled in second inning to drive in Wysocki.
· Lopez-Liu homered to lead off the third inning and Schwartzenberg hit a pinch-hit home run to go with five other LCU hits to plate eight runs in the inning.
· Anderson scored off Clemmer's hit to left field in the fourth inning.
· Jennifer McElroy homered in the fourth inning for ENMU's second run.
· Dufour homered over the left field fence in the fifth inning.

Amber Carlton pitched her second complete game of the season to improve to 5-1.
Inside the Numbers:
· LCU improved to 15-3 when scoring in the first inning.
· Half of LCU's 16 hits were for extra bases with five double and three home runs.
· Carlton surrendered only one extra base hit and did not allow any walks.
· Lopez-Liu hit her team-leading sixth home run.
· LCU was 4-for-8 in two-out at bats.
· The Lady Chaps were 4-for-6 with a runner at third base.
