CHAPARRAL HEADERS
- Lubbock Christian is playing its second game of a road trip to the northwest after suffering its first loss of the season Friday night against Concordia-Portland
- The Chaparrals have not allowed an opponent to school more than one goal in a game against them so far this season, posting a goals against average of .60
- LCU is wrapping up a four-game road trip on Sunday and will return back to the friendly confines of the LCU Soccer Field next Thursday to begin Lone Star Conference play against UT Permian Basin
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- Friday's game marked the first time this season that Lubbock Christian's offensive attach has been shut out
- Jonathan Woods again played every minute on the field on Friday, giving him a team-leading 450 minutes played so far this season
- LCU allowed just four shots on goal from the Concordia Cavaliers on Friday, and they have not allowed an opponent more than five shots on goal in a single game all year
- Goalkeeper Braxton Thorne needs just one more save to reach the triple-digit mark for his career
- Forward Fernando Flores leads the team with 23 shots this season and has put 10 of those shots on frame
SCOUTING THE SAINTS
- Saint Martin's is 4-1-1 so far this season with their only loss coming at the hands of CSU-Dominguez Hills, who beat them 1-0
- Head coach Rob Walker has been the men's soccer coach for 12 seasons prior to this year, but also previously coached the women's team until 2017 when he moved to men's soccer full time
- The Saints finished 9-9 last season, improving by seven wins from their 2-14-1 2017 season and finishing third in the GNAC
- Brandon Madsen leads the team with seven goals, while seven other Saints have scored at least one goal apiece
- Dylan Shaw has started all five games in goal, making nine saves and allowing just four goals
