Game 1
LCU Highlights:
Turning Point:
Kasey Flores two-run home run with two outs in the top of the sixth inning broke a 1-1 tie and proved to be the difference in the game.
How it Happened:
With two outs in the top of the second inning, Donaldson opened the scoring with a bloop down the right field line to plate
Berkeley Quinn. The Pioneers would tie the game in the bottom of the fourth inning, as Jalee McDonald, reaching on a leadoff error, would score on a two-out single, which ended a sequence of 12 consecutive batters Franco faced without allowing a hit.
Tied 1-1 in the sixth inning, LCU opened the inning with a single from
Tiarra Delrosario. The Lady Chaps, who were held to four hits through the first five innings of at-bats, had three hits in the sixth inning, highlighted by a two-out two-run home run by Flores for a 3-1 lead.
It was nearly the same trend for the Pioneers in the bottom half of the inning, as TWU, held to two hits through five innings, produced five consecutive hits. LCU was able to retire a pair of Pioneers on the base paths, and the only run scoring in the inning would come off a RBI-single from Missy Wise.
Franco was able to strike out the final four batters she faced to claim the one-run win.
Inside the Numbers:
- Taylor Franco complete game no-hit shutout marked her 44th career complete game (10th of the season) and she claimed her 50th career win. Franco recorded a season-high 13 strikeouts, which is one shy of her career-high 14 from Mar. 16, 2019 against Newman.
- Franco improved to 15-1 on the season with the win (co-leads the LSC).
- LCU improved to 6-1 in one-run games.
- Angela Donaldson tied a season-high in hits (3), as she was 3-for-3 from the plate.
Game 2

Kasey Flores.
Savannah Wysocki grabbed a RBI in the fourth inning, with
Tiarra Delrosario following with a two-out single to make it 4-0. Wysocki played into the scoring in the fifth inning, as she hit a two-out base loaded triple for a 7-0 advantage.
LCU exploded for nine runs in the top of the sixth inning. They sent 13 batters to the plate and produced eight hits, with four going for extra bases. Included in the mix were home runs from

Muniz's dinger was her third of the season and 11th of her LCU career.
