LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lubbock Christian University men's soccer team fell 5-1 at home to #2 Midwestern State Wednesday Night at the LCU Soccer & Track Complex.

Lubbock Christian fell to 4-3-6 overall and 0-2-3 in Lone Star play after the defeat.

How it Happened

• Midwestern State broke the scoreless tie when Dereck Espinal scored in the third minute, assisted by Maycol Reyes and Daniel Yu.
• The Mustangs went up 2-0 on a goal from Reyes in the fifth minute, assisted by Johan Juarez.
• Lubbock Christian got on the board to make it a 2-1 match on Pablo Galietero Diez's 53rd-minute goal, his fifth of the season. Nicolo Tocco assisted the goal.
• The Mustangs went ahead 3-1 with a 59th-minute goal from Reyes, assisted by Mere Escobar.
• Midwestern State increased its advantage to 4-1 on Yu's goal in the 61st minute, assisted by Escobar.
• The Mustangs' advantage expanded to 5-1 thanks to a 65th-minute goal from Escobar, assisted by Reyes. The score was the last of the game.

• Tom Miles totaled 11 saves for the Chaparrals out of 23 total Mustangs shots.
• Tocco's assist was his first of the season.
