LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lubbock Christian University men's soccer team snapped their nine match winless streak with a 1-0 victory over Dallas Baptist Wednesday (Oct. 25) at the LCU Soccer & Track Complex.
The victory boosted Lubbock Christian's record to 5-3-7 overall and 1-2-4 in Lone Star play.
How it Happened
- Lubbock Christian broke the scoreless tie when Saimon Gjeci scored his fifth goal of the season in the 39th minute.
- Goalkeeper Tom Miles and the Chap defense held the Patriots scoreless to secure the victory for LCU.
Game Notes
- Miles recorded 10 saves for the Chaparrals out of 21 total Patriots shots. This is the fifth time this season Miles has recorded eight or more saves in a match.
- The Chaps recorded just two shots on goal in the match, while the Patriots recorded 10.
- Gjeci's goal was his first since Sept. 14 against South Dakota Mines.
- This marks the first Chap win since beating Northwest Nazarene on Sept. 16.
