DURANGO, Colo. (August 31, 2023) - Lubbock Christian notched a 3-2 victory against Fort Lewis Thursday on the road at Dirks Field.
Three different Chaps found the back of the net as LCU moves to 1-0 on the season. Fort Lewis falls to 0-1 with the loss.
How it Happened
Lubbock Christian took a 1-0 lead when Saimon Gjeci scored his first goal as a Chap in the fifth minute.
The Skyhawks evened the match on a goal from Gabriel Legendre in the 52nd minute.
Lubbock Christian then busted up the 1-1 draw on Nako Amare's 68th-minute goal, his first goal of his collegiate career.
The Chaparrals made it a 3-1 lead with a 70th-minute goal from Pierluigi Paradiso, his first goal of the season.
Fort Lewis made it a 3-2 game on Loic Jean-Baptiste's goal in the 87th minute.
