PUEBLO, Colo. - The Lubbock Christian University women's soccer team left Gonzales Stadium Sunday night with a 1-1 draw against Colorado State University - Pueblo.
The Lady Chap defense and goalkeeper
Kara Murray were able to hold the Thunderwolve offense at bay in the first half, as CSU Pueblo got off three shots and forced Murray to make two saves.
The Lady Chaps were also held to three shots in the first half, but Thunderwolve goalkeeper Nicole Genis saved them all.
After a scoreless first half the Lady Chaps struck first, as
Evie Rodriguez scored the first goal of the season for LCU in the 48th minute. This also marks Rodriguez's first career goal.
The Thunderwolves scored the equalizer in the 62nd minute when Cortney Cowles found the back of the net.
