GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (October 5, 2024) – Lubbock Christian University finished 17th out of 46 competing schools at the DBU Old Glory Gallop. The Lady Chaps had a time of 1:38:19 and an average of 19:39.
Sophomore
Yahaira Martinez had her first top team finish of her career and placed 116th overall boasting a time of 19:22. This is Martinez's best finish since joining the Lady Chaps this season.
Freshman
Brooke Morelock followed Martinez in the team standings and placed 113st overall, with a time of 19:28. Morelock was the team's top finisher at the NMJC Invitational II last week and continues to impress in her first season. Five other Lady Chaps placed in the top 200 and helped secure the team's finish within the top half of schools:

The top finishing school was Rice with a time of 1:26:59 and average of 17:23. Host Dallas Baptist claimed the individual winner in Lesli Salas, who had a time of 23:33
The Lady Chaps will have some time off before their next meet, the Lone Star Conference Championships on October 26 in Kingsville, Texas.
